The son of a zoo director and an art therapist, Bruce lives in the midwest United States with his wife and young son. He has thirty years of martial arts experience and is an instructor in Jeet Kune Do and Kali under the legendary Dan Inosanto. He loves to cook, teach and spend time with friends and family. He got his MFA in 2007 and has continued to study every aspect of writing since then.
Bruce is currently giving away two novels, Schism and Voodootown on the site Wattpad.
He also devotes as much time as he can to teaching other writers.

My name is Sheri Schulz, I am the Library Director of the Modale Public Library. Every year we sponsor a short story contest and invite local authors to judge our contest. It would be an honor for you to judge our contest. This short story contest is for 3rd thru 12th grade students. We have around 35 young students who enter the contest every year. We usually keep the short story contest within the local school district (West Harrison Community School District) but are thinking of opening up the contest to the adjacent school districts that are within 15 miles of Modale (Logan-Magnolia and Missouri Valley). I got an email from Julie Burtinshaw regarding my 6th story being included in an anthology. I have not been able to contact her, and the ‘contract’ which was sent to me cannot be filled in because of the way in which it was constructed. I got a friend, nerd, to come and help but she’s doubtful that it’s authentic. Can you tell me if the email sent to all of us inviting us to submit work for an anthology of the MOOC is real or not?
